Homeschooled athletes push to play for public schools
Caleb Vlk would have liked to have played high school football last year as a senior, but didn’t get the chance. Vlk was homeschooled, and the closest football team for homeschool students was in Newport News.
As a homeschooled student, he was barred by Virginia High School League rules from trying out for the football team at Green Run High, his neighborhood school.
