U.S. House of Representatives Expands 529 Savings Plans to Include Homeschoolers

The United States House of Representatives have passed H.R. 6757 to expand 529 savings plans to include homeschooling. Under the current tax code, parents and grandparents can only put aside funds for religious and private schooling. The bill still needs to be approved by the Senate.

Benedictine College in Atchison, KS will hold a Homeschool Visit Day on October 29, 2018 for prospective students. High school students in all grades are invited to attend the day-long event that includes a campus tour, attending a class, and a student panel. A travel reimbursement is also available.
