Family Moves On After Second House Fire Displaces Them
On Sat. Jan. 10, as the Sykes family’s Carthage home burned, Carthage fire chief Brian Tyner asked oldest son Jonathan what could be salvaged. A few minutes later, Tyner rushed down the steps, cords of smoke around his mask, carrying the white stuffed baby bear of 6-year-old Wesley Sykes. To help the family, an online fund has been set up at youcaring.com/SykesFireFund.
