Minnesota Homeschool Athletes Compete on Equal Terms

HSLDA | Runners Compete on Equal Terms

With her first stride on November 7, 2015, Erika Swanson made homeschool history.

It wasn’t just because she was a homeschooled athlete; it wasn’t just because she was competing in the state championship cross country meet; it was because Erika was the first homeschooled athlete to represent a homeschool team in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) State Championship. She placed 31st out of 175 finishers.
