Homeschooling on the Rise in Malaysia and Other News

The Star Online reports that homeschooling is on the rise in Malaysia and homeschool groups like The Thinking Sun are helping homeschoolers throughout the country navigate the Malaysian educational system. In 2003, school became compulsory in Malaysia through primary school but homeschoolers can receive an exemption. An estimated 5,000 children were homeschooled in Malaysia in 2015 and the number is steadily rising.

Broadway Creek Homeschool Academy has been selected to present at the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR) conference in Washington D.C. in November. Their Microgravity Expulsion from Water Experiment was selected along with three other teams by NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH.
