The Ororo Indoor National Pickleball Professional Championship was held from February 24th thru February 27th, 2022. The homeschooled duo of Ben Johns (1) and Anna Leigh Waters (5) won the gold medal match.
Johns and Waters defeated Jessie Irvine and Jay Devilliers in three straight games (11-4,12-10,11-2) at the Life Time Lakeville Fitness Center in Lakeville, MN.
Ben Johns currently studies Materials Science at the University of Maryland: College Park’s School of Engineering and was homeschooled by his parents.
Anna Leigh Waters has been homeschooled since the third grand and plays in Women’s Doubles matches with her mother Leigh.
