Homeschool Month at Washington Underground Railroad; Homeschoolers of Maine Field Trip

The Washington Waterfront Underground Railroad Museum in Washington NC is celebrating Home School Month in October. Homeschool groups can arrange free tours and presentations at the museum to learn more about the underground railroad in eastern NC, specifically the greater Washington area. We can also help create an underground railroad history curriculum for classes. Find us on Facebook or WHDA.org.

Join Homeschoolers of Maine at the Harvard Museum of Natural History in Cambridge, MA for an exciting and educational field trip your kids won’t want to miss. On Thursday, October 4th, we will embark on a museum journey that will encourage your kids to “Dig into Fossils” and “Explore Inside Skeletons.” At only $15 per person, you will want to bring the whole family to spend the day and take in all the exhibits. For more information and to register, visit homeschoolersofmaine.org.

Homeschool activities will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, September 14th, at the West Plains Public Library in West Plains, MO. The event is for ages 7 and older. A tour of the library will be given and there will be a scavenger hunt and activities to help children use the library’s website and find books. More information is available at westplainslibrary.org.
