The Damariscotta River Association offers a monthly hands-on nature programs from September through June for homeschool families. Classes are held 10:00 a.m. to noon on the fourth Monday of each month (except October and December). Prepay for five classes and get a sixth class free. For ages 5 and up (younger may come). Historic St. Mary’s City, a museum and national historic park, will hold Homeschool Day 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. There will be demonstrations and activities. The cost is $5 for ages 5 and older with one free adult, $10 for each additional adult for Friends members of the museum.
