It was sort of a mini miracle how we came to even have this food pantry. I was asked to drive the truck to pick up food for our local soup kitchen. (They are few and far between where we live.) I picked up 1200 pounds of Purdue chicken that day. When I returned to the soup kitchen they were delighted with the ‘food run’ and took what they needed…all of 50 lbs of the chicken. I was told to redistribute the rest!
