Cheney Fencing offers classes for home-schoolers
The sport of fencing engages mental and physical capabilities. It is this kind of instant, on-the-spot, thinking that enables a participant to improve their decision skills and reflexes. Cheney Fencing specializes in saber fencing. The school has competitive and recreational classes for a variety of levels and ages.
Coach Ben Kelley also is a home-school graduate, as well as a high school state fencing champion (2012 and 2013). He teaches the home-school beginner program held weekly at 2 p.m. Thursdays. There also are two evening options on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Participants will receive a T-shirt and participate in a tournament at the end of the league.
