The Chickasaw Cultural Center invites homeschool groups to enjoy educational and fun activities at Homeschool Day, Thursday, Aug. 23. from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Homeschool educators and students will enjoy educational films, guided horticulture tours of the village, cultural demonstrations and much more. The Inaugural CHSM Invitational was this past weekend and 41 Total Teams participated: 19 Varsity & 22 Junior Varsity. The tournament was comprised of private schools, Christian schools, and homeschool teams. Including participants from the Dallas area, San Antonio, and Lousiana. The results are as follows: JV Gold Champ- CHSM Crimson Knights, 2nd Place: Cypress Christian School; JV Silver Champ- St. Agnes B, 2nd Place Northland Christian; Bronze Champ- PT Warriors JV, 2nd Place Covenant Christian. (CHSM & PT are homeschool teams). Varsity Gold Champ- John Cooper School, 2nd Place CHSM Crimson Knights; Silver Champ- Alpha Omega, 2nd Place Cypress Christian; Bronze Champ- St. Thomas Episcopal, 2nd Place Providence Classical School. The Pink Palace Museum have announced Homeschool Drop-in Days in their museum galleries. This programming provides family-oriented educational opportunities for all ages. Homeschool Drop-in Days will be every second Thursday of the month during the school year (excluding December and January) from 1-2pm. Each month will feature interactive activities based on a different theme.
