Potter Puppet Pal Creator Was Homeschooled; Coin Collecting Homeschooler; Google Science Fair

In an article in the Scout Somerville, Neil Cicierega the Creator of popular YouTube series ‘Potter Puppet Pals’ stated he was homeschooled. He says his parents start homeschooling him the fourth grade. He said his parents’ “a loose curriculum…provided boundless amounts of time for him and his two siblings to explore their interests.” The full article can be read here.

Brazilian Supreme Court Rules Parents Need Approval to Educate at Home and More

Previously, I’d reported the Brazilian Supreme Court would rule on the legality of homeschooling in the South American country. While they did not rule it was illegal, the court did indicate that parents would need to get approval from local school districts in order to educate at home. This is a developing story and I will have more to report in the future.
