Serial Homeschool Entrepreneur Revives Business; East Coast HSPN Volleyball Tournament

Serial entrepreneur and former homeschool student, Kayla Duerstock, revives mattress company Revived 365. As a teenager, Kayla also started a coffee shop and photography business.

Homeschooler Mitchell Mudge recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Mitchell earned 34 merit badges, a Bronze & Gold Palm while working towards the honor. His brother Kyle is also an Eagle Scout.

Registration for the 2018 Homeschool Sports Network East Coast Volleyball Tournament is now open. Teams should register by July 15, 2018. Students will only be allowed to compete on one team (e.g. U-18 or U-16, not both).

Homeschool Co-op Provides Socialization Opportunities for Moms


When Amanda Boone started homeschooling her eldest child Ella Kate a few years ago, she felt something was missing.

“When I decided to homeschool, one of my hesitations was I wanted to have a group of likeminded friends who did some of the things like valentines exchanges and field days and just that community of kids,” she said. “I wanted that for her.”

Yes MAM Trio offers up a sentimental journey through song

For the young women of Yes MAM, it all started with a couple of homeschool history assignments. After the girls worked up a song together for a project on the Wild West years ago, their harmony took off. For a different project, they portrayed The Andrews Sisters, donning tweed suits from a thrift store and experimenting with the makeup and hairstyles of the swing and boogie-woogie era. A talent show win followed and, before long, the girls found themselves asked to perform at more and more venues.
