Like the parents of public or private school kids, parents who homeschool also have to adjust to shelter-in-place orders because for some, homeschool doesn’t mean you are at home all of the time.
Floyd Medical Center patient tests positive for coronavirus, leaders scheduled for meeting this morning
Rome and Floyd County, as well as school system leaders will be at a meeting with the Floyd County Emergency Management agency and Georgia Department of Public Health this morning at 10 a.m. and we’ll be there with updates to this story published as soon as possible.
The Discovery Center in Ocala, FL is offer homeschool Chemistry and Physics classes on Thursdays starting September until December 10th. The classes are from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for ages 8-12. The Long X Arts Foundation is offering weekly art classes for homeschoolers. Classes are on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. from Sept. 11th through November 13th. Classes will be at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City, ND. More informatrion is available at watfordcityparks.com.
Flint RiverQuarium and Thronateeska Heritage Center in Albany, GA will have homeschool days throughout the school year. The first homeschool day is September 11th and will focus on the water cycle.
