In the interview with Jessica Mendoza (who also homeschools her children) he talked about his mission to reach kids who are homeschooled and let them know that it’s OK to be different.

Homeschooling on the Rise in Florida; Religious Bullying Leads to Increase in Australian Homeschooling

According to an annual report released by the Florida State Department of Education, homeschooling grew by 2.7% last year. Counties with the highest percentage of homeschoolers include Duval, Hillsborough, Orange, Palm Beach and Broward with Duval having the highest percentage at 7.6%. Science and Art Homeschool Classes in ND & FL, Homeschool Days in GA

The Discovery Center in Ocala, FL is offer homeschool Chemistry and Physics classes on Thursdays starting September until December 10th. The classes are from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for ages 8-12. The program combines instruction along with exploration. Classes are $36/month and members receive a discount. To register and for more information visit mydiscoverycenter.org.

The Long X Arts Foundation is offering weekly art classes for homeschoolers. Classes are on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. from Sept. 11th through November 13th. Classes will be at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City, ND. More informatrion is available at watfordcityparks.com.

Flint RiverQuarium and Thronateeska Heritage Center in Albany, GA will have homeschool days throughout the school year. The first homeschool day is September 11th and will focus on the water cycle.
