Homeschool News Today Podcast Returns After Year-Long Hiatus

The Homeschool News Today podcast returns after a year-long hiatus thanks to its Patrons. Published daily, Monday through Friday, Homeschool News Today provides news that encourages, entertains and equips homeschoolers. The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts immediately. The blog is updated daily by noon ET (it’s a little late today) and the podcast is released daily by 9 PM ET. An Alexa daily flash briefing and weekly newsletter will soon be added.

Todd Wilson, “The Familyman”, announces The Smiling Homeschooler. The Smiling Homeschooler is an online community that aims bring a smile to you and your children’s faces through social media, weekly podcasts, and a newsletter.

HSLDA Advises New Mexico Homeschoolers to Ignore State Requirement

HSLDA recommends NM homeschoolers print-out and mail in an online notice of intent to homeschool in protest. HSLDA is advising parents should not affirm certain statements on the form which misrepresent NM homeschool regulations.

A new Christian homeschooling co-op will start in the fall at Oak Harbor Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Oak Harbor, OH. Homeschoolers of Ottawa County Christian Co-op (HO3C) will hold an open house on August 31, 2018, for interested parents.

Classical Conversations of Newton, NJ will hold an informational meeting for parents interested in homeschooling using the Classical Conversations model. The meeting will be held at Baleville Church in Newton, NJ on July 12th at 9:30 AM.
