The H.E.A.R.T. of the Wiregrass Homeschool Expo will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL. From 9 am to 5 pm, homeschooling families can learn from over 60 exhibitors about local educational resources, curriculum, and more.

Homeschooling Grows in India; Southwest GA Homeschool Expo

Parents in Coimbatore, India are turning to homeschooling for various reasons according to an article in the Times of India. A closed homeschooling group has been started on Facebook for fellow homeschoolers in Coimbatore and currently has over 600 members.

Homeschoolers are invited to the Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton, CT for the Homeschool STEAM Club. The club will meet on Tuesday, July 17th at 12 p.m. The monthly program is for homeschooled preschool and elementary-aged children. Registration is required for this event.

The fourth annual Southwest Georgia Homeschool Expo will be held on July 21 at Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany, GA from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. More information, visit the Southwest GA Homeschool EXPO Facebook page.

Irish pop star Samantha Mumba appeared on Loose Women (a lunchtime chat show on ITV similar The View) and told the panel that she plans to homeschool her daughter while living in the United States because the American education system “doesn’t appeal [her]”.
