Brevard Zoo Hosts Homeschool Day and Other News

Brevard Zoo is hosting a homeschool day August 20th (sorry for the last-minute note) as an introduction to their homeschool programming. The zoo holds twice-monthly classes for 5–8-year-olds and 9–12-year-olds on Mondays and Tuesdays. The zoo also offer overnight events for homeschooling groups. Texas Home School Coalition has launced a new website, HomeEducator.com, to serve homeschooling families beyond the state of Texas. To celebrate the launch of HomeEducator.com, Texas Home School Coalition is making its award-winning magazine, “Home Educator Quarterly,” free nationwide until September 15 and new subscribers will receive the free e-book: “25 STEMulating Activities for Future Scientists, Techies, Engineers and Mathematicians.”

The Science Museum of Virginia is hosting a homeschool week September 11 through September 14. Programming is available throughout the week in two sessions: grades K-3 and 4-6.
