‘Bringing up Bates’ family say they’re different than the Duggars
Is there room on TV for another supersized family? On Jan. 1, the Bates family, close friends of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” clan, debuted their new UP network reality series, “Bringing Up Bates.” And while the two families have plenty in common (19 kids each, for starters!), the Tennessee-based Bates brood isn’t aiming to become the new Duggars.
