Australian Homeschoolers Clean Up Local Beach

Australian Homeschoolers Clean Up Local Beach

A group of homeschoolers from New South Wales, Australia spent a day picking up trash from their local beach.

An article detailing the project in Bega District News was written by one of the homeschoolers, 11-year-old Yemaya Oates.

She wrote, “We found bottles and cans that could have been more than 10 years old. Some of the bottles were an old shape. Lots of them were very faded.”

Oates wrote they were “cleaning up the environment, preventing animals from dying and making it a better place.”
